That's the one, Terry. The gooners in their east stand could only laugh, no comeback to that.

Mike Small 1992 1-0 was in the away end the look on the gooner faces

Mad Dog's screamer in the 2-0 win the first time the clock end was all seater. The very same day unitedwestand's old man started the "ONE TREVOR BROOKING!" manouvre, and I can proudly say I was the first to join in with him.......after watching for a minute or two, thinking "What is this nutter on?" leading, eventually to the whole clock end, thousands of Hammers, doing it. One of my fondest West Ham moments.

Getting booted in the knee by their bloke Denton at the Alan Taylor 2-0 cup game at Highbury

Falling down the ditch in the middle of the stand

Missing one of the goals by being in the portacabin hut getting a drink during the game

Being amazed at the thousands of hammers in the clock end and north bank

John Hartson giving away a corner from the halfway line when we were 4 nil down and it was still the first half of the match.

FA Cup qtr final in 1975.
Started up the back of the North Bank and found myself in several different parts of it before and during the match.

I wasn't expecting a post including a comment about a flat tyre in this thread. That made me chuckle.

Re: Your memories of Arsenal away
26th October 1968. I went with my father & brother to Highbury. Dad had his pocket picked as we changed trains to Highbury.
Dad blamed me as I had a puncture on my bike & needed his help to get the tyre back on the rim. This meant that we had to rush for the train & he forgot to put the £30 that he had withdrawn from the bank that morning under the corner of the mat.

0-0. Boring game made memorable for other reasons.

Re: Your memories of Arsenal away
My very first visit to Highbury was in 1974-5 when they comprehensively thrashed us in the league, 3-0. However, we got our revenge during my next visit when we beat them 2-0 in the FA Cup, later in the same season.

Ronnie and I taking the east stand whilst P was taking the west stand during the Mike Small demolition.

BOWLED IN. FRONTED THE LOT. TOOK THE PISS ON THEIR MANOR. TOOK THE 3 POINTS. BOWLED OUT.

That's how WE do.

I watched the 2.1 handball game at Upton park on the SCREEN, sat in the west lower. There's a clip of our lot after Di Canio scores, absolute LIMBS in that away end. The up coming away game will be the first iv missed since this one.

My first arse away game

Arsenal 3 West ham 0 00/01
Awful, horrible injured team and I don't think we had a shot, was freezing and our atmosphere was shit. 3 down in 30 mins in our horrible navy shirt.

Arsenal 4 West ham 0
Was only 13, it sold out over night as the old man tried to get tickets. Was staring a teletext and could believe the score, 4 by half time. The cup game same season was immense.

0.0 under Zola, come out the ground singing 'we are invincible' think it was 8 without defeat?

02/03 Defoe scored and we lost 3.1. Seaman was getting shit loads 'shit 80's haircut, you've got a shit 80's haircut' he turned round laughing, gave us the V sign and them pretended it was a pair of scissors. Fair play, he was cracking up.

Just watched that you tube 75 link ,yeah its a great crowd surge and that but it still dont really do the day justice the amount of hammers at the back middle of the old north bank , we always had a job taking that end but that day they (Gooners) just had to give up with the numbers opposing them ,only people who were there would appreciate our support that day!
